Fast forward to five months after we moved into our new home. “Jimmy” failed to properly secure the ice maker drain line allowing water to leak un-detected for over a month into the wall and under the wood floors. The result is mold and water damage that will require that we now move back out of our new home while the entire first floor baseboards, floors and trim is demo’d and replaced. Meanwhile no response from Jimmy and only a curt email from his insurance company who has apparently realized the gravity of the situation at this point.

An absolute NIGHTMARE! Avoid at all cost. Bonaventure’s plumbing “Jimmy” was subcontracted to perform the plumbing work on our new construction. The trouble began with deadlines not being met as he repeatedly caused construction delays by simply not showing up to perform work that would allow us to move forward with further phases of the project. He (or his guys as apparently Jimmy does little of his own work anymore) repeatedly left the house doors wide open and unsecure as we moved into the later stages of the home, despite our repeated request to the general contractor that the house simply be locked after subs performed work.
I believe this to be my first Google review as we are level headed people who believe in human mistakes and the opportunity to fix them, but there is no excuse for the continual gross incompetence shown by Jimmy Bonaventure in this situation and future potential clients deserve to know this man’s business practices.
